The Simpsons have gone above and beyond this time! In Simpsons episode #LABF12, there is a gigantic, blatant, obvious, background violation of the intellectual property of Disney/Pixar’s Up — a movie that isn’t even out yet! How did the Simpsons creators manage this? Given the huge lead time necessary to create an animated television episode, the Simpsons’ writers must have known intimate details of Up for many months — perhaps even for years!
Is there a Simpsons spy in the Pixar camp? It would explain so much…
In The Simpsons episode #LABF09 from May 2009, we find the following possible Disney copyright violating image in the middle of an extended possibly copyright violating sequence:
True, the dwarfs on The Simpsons had non-Disney names — Drinky, Drunky, Homery, Greedy, Also Drunky, Jerky, and The Black One — but the art style, singing, and leveraging of European folklore are pure Disney. For shame!
Clearly The Simpsons has run out of ideas, because they’ve taken to cleverly stealing storylines from classic Disney cartoons! Have they no shame?
